Love Your Bag Clothing Drive
Collected over 60 thirty-gallon bags of clothes for nonprofits serving low-income New York City communities through 13 shelters.
Turkey & Syria Earthquake Relief
Following the February 6, 2023 earthquake, Science Humanitarian hosted a fundraiser in New York to support affected families.
Ukraine Movie Fundraiser
Organized a fundraiser at the Manhasset theater in summer 2022 in response to Russia's attack on Ukraine. Proceeds used to purchase First Aid Bleed Stop Kits for Ukrainian soldiers facing medical supply shortages.
QSAC Autism Awareness
Members taught tennis to individuals with autism, facilitating community integration during pandemic isolation.
Bus Driver Appreciation
Created new, legible signs with thank-you messages for school bus drivers.
Cards for Hospitalized Patients
Made supportive cards for hospitalized children and adults to brighten their day.
Phipps Conservatory — YCAC Policy Group
Providing feedback and collaborating with Jennifer's group — high school and college students passionate about the environment.
Water Conservation
Planting native plants that help filter and clean water. Organized a dedicated volunteer day with the local community to plant these species.
Sustainable Businesses
Partnering with food banks, restaurants, and local organizations to support vulnerable businesses finding sustainable solutions.
Pollinators
Planning a family pollinator day to connect people from different habitats, overcome fear of bees and bugs, and build appreciation for the environment.
AI Policy
Teaching middle and high schoolers about AI's impact. Drafting policy recommendations to regulate AI for local legislatures in the Pittsburgh region and proposing ideas for new state bills.
Sustainable Art & Fashion
Hosting an art gallery and fashion workshop focused on altering clothes into sustainable fashion pieces and encouraging reuse.
Composting
In-school composting program for 1,500 students — turning food waste into environmental resources, with plans for a talent show fundraiser to sustain the program.
Environmental Policy Game
Developing a fun, interactive game to teach how environmental policy works on a larger scale.
Currently filing as a 501(c) nonprofit organization.
